Yesterday was Dog Day (a holiday that I made up). The other day, Gus begged me to see the presents I was giving him. I told him that he couldn't see them until Sunday. He went to his kennel and I thought that he had fell asleep, but this morning, 6:06 AM to be exact, I learned that he hadn't. At about 6:00, I heard sirens outside. I got up and looked outside. A police officer was walking up to my door. He said, "Sorry to disturb you ma'am, but there have been some noise concerns." I must be a deep sleeper because I had slept through all that noise. I soon learned that someone wouldn't be celebrating Dog Day. In my room, I found a pile of torn up wrapping paper. "GUS!" I yelled so loud that I was sure the police officer would come back and arrest me. Gus came in with his head down. "You will not be celebrating Dog Day, and Trudy will get all the presents, even yours. And that was the end of that.

We had a great Dog Day. We even had a party. The only bad thing was that Trudy fell into the punch bowl, and everyone left because there was hair in their drinks.

Poor Gus was locked up in his room, and when he heard all the commotion, he went crazy and knocked over the T.V. in his room. The T.V. fell on top of him, and he spent a night in the hospital.

All dogs who read this story, what did you learn?-Gillian
Some things I have been wondering:

1. When a cat has diarrhea, why does s(he) stand in the litter box, but hang his/her butt over the edge and poop on the floor?

2. What makes cat diarrhea so sticky? Why is it nearly impossible to get it off the wood floor?

3. Why aren't I smart enough to put a mat under the kitty litter box?

4. Why must Sara pee on the living room rug when there is a perfectly clean litter box 2 feet away?

5. Why do I have so many pets?

6. Why do I often see shoes by the side of the road, or on the road? How do so many people lose their shoes while they are driving or riding in a car? Why don't they go back to pick them up?

Answers to any or all of these questions are appreciated.

Well shucks! I can receive email, but I can't send it. Here I thought my computer problems had been solved. When I try to send an email, it sends me an error report. Stupid computer!

Until I get it figured out, in response to your email Julie, yes, you can stop by here on your way down, if you bring us lots and lots of gifts!

I can't really think of anything to write, except for I'm sorry again for not writing in a long time. I'm doing good. I had a great Halloween being a cowgirl. I might get to ride Reno tomorrow if the teacher is available. -Gillian
